Overview
From LCRP's unique architecture to state-of-the-art
technologies and wealth of services all provided in one comprehensive cancer
program. St. Joseph's/Candler takes cancer
care and treatment to
a new level. We offer progressive, distinctive services and individualized care
in an environment that inspires courage and promotes healing.
As one of the select few in the country to be accredited
by the American College of
Surgeons, the LCRP treats patients in Coastal Georgia and the South Carolina
Low Country. St. Joseph’s/Candler is one of only 10 health systems nationwide to
be selected as a participant in the National
Cancer Institute’s National Community Cancer Centers Pilot Program
(NCCCP).
Our program includes and is staffed

- Surgical, medical and radiation oncologist
- Cancer action
teams comprised of physician members and supporting clinical staff
- Oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, medical assistants and physician assistants
- Oncology pharmacists
- Radiation therapists
- Physicists
- Nurse patient navigators
- Social worker patient navigators
- Cancer registrars
- Administrative staff
- Five private medical offices
- Hospital-based outpatient infusion
- A multidisciplinary clinic
- A digital chest X-Ray Suite
- Access to comprehensive imaging services
In addition to inpatient and outpatient services, the
LCRP offers numerous community
outreach efforts including educational forums, prevention awareness
efforts and health screenings.
